Hello There!

Well, here you are! You found my website! My name is James Hudson, I’m a musician and teacher, living in Denver, Colorado, teaching all sorts of fretted instruments. I’ve been teaching in-studio since 2005 and since the whirlwind of 2020 I have found myself teaching mostly online. I’ve had so many amazing students, and a lot of great times teaching. I thought it would be nice to have a place to share what I’m working on, what current students are working on, my hopes for the studio and some ideas about learning, teaching and playing.

Studio teaching has been a comfortable little cave and I’ve always had support from my studios that allowed me to hide out and do my thing. Since transitioning to online teaching, I feel like it’s time to reach out to the 21st century in a very 2003 way and have a blog. So I got me a blog. I’d like to make this a go-to spot for arrangements, lesson materials, articles, etc. I’ve got lots of opinions, ideas, and information to share, and I can type away right here on this ancient dusty laptop with a sticky D key (it took me three tries to get that D out).

I’ll be rambling here regularly from here on out. So check in often.

If you’re interested in lessons, or you just want to jaw about music, drop me a line.
